Follow Your Bliss

If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. — Joseph Campbell

Part of the trap of believing the stories we tell ourselves is that we hand over our own power, our own internal source of life, over to others. It feels more comfortable and safer to try to live according to the expectations of others, rather than to follow your own path. Most people have given so much of their power to others that they don’t even know what they want anymore.
This is a recipe for misery and suffering. While your subconscious mind may be feeling cozy and safe because you're doing what you think everyone else expects from you, your conscious mind is suffering because you are not being true to yourself — living your one precious life on your own terms.
The answer to this problem is to simply follow your own bliss. This isn’t narcissism. It’s quite the opposite. Only by following the path that you create with your own mind and your own body will you feel free and be free to live a life of excitement, contentment, meaning, and joy.
Like anything else that’s worth your time, following your bliss takes practice. It is a practice. It requires deep listening to yourself so that you can know and follow your true desires. Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to help you discover (or rediscover) your bliss, so you can follow it each moment of the day.
